You should never need to do this as part of the normal operation of your wallet. Support (Trezor or otherwise) will never ask you for it, you don’t need to enter it to pair with software interfaces (Including ones that say they are from Trezor), you don’t need it for sending, staking, etc. It is only ever entered in to your hardware wallet to restore everything after you have wiped it, or moved to a new hardware device.
The only time that you would need to use your seed phrase in other software/tools is:
* You have lost your Trezor and want to access the funds in a hurry (So aren’t happy to wait for a replacement)
* You have a typo or something in your seed phrase and need to use a tool like BTCRecover
* You have done something like send an unsupported coin/token to Trezor (Like sending VET to your Eth address or something) and need to do a recovery.
The last two of the above points would also only ever be done on something like an offline Tails Linux environment… (Never on a website or in your normal online desktop environment)
You also shouldn’t store digital copies of it, as this is a very common way that people leak their seed to scammers…
