      Hallo zusammen,

Why even worry about it?? Just transfer all your crypto temporarily to an exchange, confirm the transfer(s) went through successfully. Then, generate a new key phrase on your ledger and transfer your crypto back to your new account(s) on your ledger. And of course, be more careful with your new key phrase.

All seeds are already out there. They aren’t generated, but already exist. The device just picks out a seed phrase at random.

There IS a chance this has/will happen. But, you’re just as likely to create a wallet that already exists. 25th word makes this just a LOT more improbable than it already is.

Just add a new paraphrase wallet and move it there. No need to change the seed. Leave some in original wallet and see if it ever moves.

Not until somebody sends a transaction or otherwise interacts with the blockchain can you tell if there has been any activity for a wallet. Just recovering doesn’t send any data anywhere.

Impossible to know. There is no code implemented in well-known blockchains to know that same seed/private key was restored on another app.

You can implement a code to your node to store which IP accessed which wallet to gather that data. But both wallets need to access same node to warn you + if someone figures this out, your node will be addressed as sketchy 😛 https://cointelegraph.com/news/metamask-will-start-collecting-user-ip-addresses

      Hey,

I understand your concern. It is normal to worry about the safety of your 24-word recovery phrase. In case your recovery phrase gets compromised and restored on another device or wallet, unfortunately, there is no way of knowing due to the specifics of technology. Your 24-word recovery phrase is a universal private key from which the private keys for different crypto derive, so these private keys can be used on any other wallets, not only on Ledger but on all wallets.

If you feel that your 24-word recovery phrase was compromised, you can generate a new one but before you need to send your funds to temporary accounts. The steps to do so are explained [here](https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/6178949486109-Can-I-edit-or-change-my-24-word-recovery-phrase-)
