      1. – The passphrase is just a set of different accounts on top of the seed phrase wallet so if you restore the seed phrase you are restoring your regular accounts but no the passphrase one. You would still need the passphrase to have access to those set of accounts that are hidden by the passphrase. And the way you recover these accounts is as simple as reentering your pass phrase on the device once you already restored your seed phrase.

2.- If you forget your passphrase then it’s all gone. You cannot recover your crypto assets.

3.- This is the tricky question and nobody really can answer because ledger is closed source and that means we don’t really know shit what’s going on under the hood. And we just discovered they can retrieve seeds when they told us it was impossible. So why wouldn’t they then have the ability to retrieve passphrase through a firmware update?. Conclusion…

It might protect you or it might not lol.

Make sure to don’t attach your paraphrase to a pin because then that means your paraphrase is stored on the device and they can do whatever they want. Instead just set your passphrase as temporary, I want to believe this is the only secure way because is never stored on the device and it is just a private key you’re entering manually every time you need and once the device is reset is wiped.

These are just my thoughts. Dyor

Can you add a 25th word to create the hidden wallet after already having set up a wallet with 24 words?

Will we be able to see the hidden wallet on Ledger Live?

Does transferring crypto from a Regulat to hidden wallet follow the standard Send process?

Hey – No, the passphrase is not automatically restored when you restore a device with a 24-word seed phrase. The passphrase is an additional security measure that adds an extra layer of protection to your wallet’s private keys. When you restore a device using the seed phrase, it will recover the default wallet associated with the seed phrase, which does not include the passphrase.

To recover the wallet with the passphrase, you need to manually enter the passphrase during the restoration process. More info here 👇🏻

If you forget or lose your passphrase and cannot provide it during the restoration, you may permanently lose access to the funds associated with that passphrase. Therefore, it’s essential to securely store your passphrase and have a reliable method to recall it when needed.

Passphrases are not supported for Ledger Recover – users can only back up their recover phrase instead. The passphrase would need to be kept secured or remembered correctly by the user instead. Let us know if you’ve any other questions. More info here 👇🏻
