Hallo habe einige btc, die in ledger cold wallet gespeichert ist. Aber ich bin besorgt, dass ich die Seed-Phrase verlieren könnte oder ich könnte meine btc verlieren, wenn jemand meine Seed-Phrase über einen längeren Zeitraum in die Hände bekommt

Ist es besser, es zu verkaufen und Black Rock ETF zu kaufen?

This is not a very popular opinion but for regular people ETF it’s better than the BTC itself. There are many advantages: not worrying about custody, easy inheritance, it’s at the same place that you have your stocks, very hard to hack, backed by multimillion companies, the transaction fee is non existent and the 0,25% fee a year is much lower than BTC transactions fee and exchanges fees.

The problems: if the ETF is a fraud you are rekt. If your government decide to get your ETF it will, very different from having BTC at a wallet

If you are concerned about losing your seed phrase then maybe back it up using Shamir’s Secret Shares [stamped in steel](https://blockmit.com/english/guides/diy/make-cold-wallet-washers/) and store the shares in several secure locations.

Your seed/wallet will then be securely and redundantly stored on stainless steel “hardware” that is virtually indestructible and should outlive you.

If you are concerned you might lose your seed phrase, you could subscribe to the Ledger Recover service, which is targeted to people who think they may lose their seed phrase.

If you use an ETF, the ETF will charge a managing fee, maybe 1 or 2% per year, you need to be aware of that.

If you just want to hold in the long run, either way works. Having your BTC in your own “cold wallet” means that you are 100% responsible for the safety of your funds. Rather than relying on a third-party financial institution.
