      Hey there Mister,

Don’t panic, all is going to be fine & easy.

      ***Follow these steps:***

**1°)** Remove this Ether address account from Metamask (top right corner 3 little dots while connected to your current account set of address).

**2°)** Add back your Ledger to Metamask, while your Ethereum app is selected ON your ledger nano.

**3°)** On the next screen you should see :

      *Select an account*

      *Select HD path*

*If you don’t see the accounts you expect, try switching the HD path.*

“**LEDGER LIVE**” on a rectangle right below.

This is what causes the issue, Metamask if proposing you **FIRST** to use their **GODDAMN LEDGER BRIDGE** as a standard instead of the best solution, which i detail below.

Click on this rectangle, then select “**BIP44 STANDARD**” instead of Ledger Live.

You should find your corresponding Ethereum address among all the proposed addresses, with your Ether value.

Sometimes it will force you to use Metamask in Full screen for some transactions, pay attention to it or it will not work.

Then you will feel 50 times happier using this BIP44 system instead of switching to the Ledger Live bridge everytime you want to validate a transaction on Metamask. Every transaction should now be lightspeed.

**NOTA: i’m very concerned as i just see the Ledger co-Founder & a Ledger customer person just to replied you, and replied totally useless stuff. They do not even know their products related issues. Flee.**

Take care, and please confirm if this worked for you.

The best to you mister, take care of your funds!

      Blue hat Giorgio

Importantly, you’ll want to make sure that your browser is fully-updated (any outdated browser can return a variety of error messages).

In the case that you’re using FireFox, support for MetaMask was dropped in their recent v114.0 update. In that case, you’ll want to try another browser such as Chrome and see if you can execute your transaction from there, using MetaMask, without any issues.

If neither of these options work, I would suggest sticking with Chrome and perhaps trying another Ethereum wallet for your transaction (such as [MyEtherWallet](https://www.myetherwallet.com/) or [Taho](https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/10485619691677-Connect-your-Ledger-to-Taho?docs=true)) – and seeing if the error persists across not only different browsers, but 3rd party wallets too.

Once you’ve tried this, you’ll know if the error is originating from the browser, the extension, or perhaps the Ledger itself. If it does seem like the Ledger is causing the error, please don’t hesitate to open a ticket with us at our official Ledger Support page, [here](http://support.ledger.com/) – we’re happy to help.
