– In almost all cases, the blockchain of a crypto coin is public. Everybody can see the (public) addresses and the transactions.
– With crypto, there are no checks on who the sender or receiver is, as long as there is enough crypto to send the transaction, the transaction will get confirmed. The sender doesn’t need to know the receiver to send, and the receiver doesn’t need to know the sender to receive.
Just like a package: you can send a package to a stranger’s address and a stranger can send something to your address.
So, the NFTs that you receive are to make you interact with them. They can be malicious, so do NOT interact with them. Best you can do is hide them in Ledger Live (tap and hold on mobile), or leave them as is.
