Hallo zusammen,
ich bin neu bei Trezor und komme von der Ledger-Seite (ihr ahnt schon, warum).
Ich habe mein Model One letzte Woche erhalten und habe 2 Fragen:
\- Da ich eine Passphrase erstellt habe, frage ich mich, wie sie funktioniert. Besitze ich nur einen privaten Schlüssel, der aus meiner Seedphrase + Passphrase besteht, oder habe ich 2 private Schlüssel (einen für die Seedphrase allein und einen für die Kombination Seedphrase + Passphrase)? Wenn ich eine Transaktion über meine versteckte Wallet signiere, signiere ich sie dann mit demselben privaten Schlüssel, mit dem ich Transaktionen für meine normale Wallet signiere?

\- Wie sicher ist meine versteckte Wallet, da ich meine Passphrase auf der Tastatur eingeben muss? Sollte ich mir Sorgen machen? Außerdem habe ich mein Backup getestet, indem ich meinen privaten Schlüssel über das Gerät und die 9 leeren Kästchen auf dem Bildschirm wiederhergestellt habe (ich musste das Kästchen ankreuzen, das mit den richtigen Informationen auf dem Gerät übereinstimmt), ist das sicher?

The pass phrase is hashed with the seed to create the wallet. There is only one seed phrase you need to remember, and each passphrase you want to use. That’s it.
There really isn’t a “hidden” wallet. The passphrase becomes part of the wallet so each passphrase derives a new wallet from your same seed phrase.
It works the same on ledger.

Think of your seedphrase as the “master key” of your cryptocurrency mansion. It opens all the doors and gives you full control over your property. The passphrase, on the other hand, is more like an extension to this master key, which can be used to create and access an entirely different set of rooms (or wallets, in our case). So, when you combine your seedphrase with a passphrase, you’re creating a new, unique key that can open a specific set of rooms (wallets) that your original master key (seedphrase alone) cannot access.
However, it’s crucial to understand that each of these “rooms” (wallets) have their own private keys – these are not the same as your seedphrase or passphrase. When you sign a transaction, you do it with the private key specific to that wallet.
Regarding your safety concerns, you’re spot on! Typing your passphrase on a keyboard is not the most secure method as it can potentially be compromised by malware, keyloggers, etc. Always aim to interact with your seedphrase and passphrase directly through your device to minimize the risk of exposure.
