Wenn Sie Ihr Ledger mit der Metamask verbinden, können Sie den Kontostand über die Metamask überprüfen, und die Metamask fordert Sie bei jeder Transaktion korrekt auf, diese mit dem Ledger zu signieren.

Frage: Warum schlägt Metamask vor, seine Phrasen zu sichern? Welche Schlüssel werden in Metamask gespeichert? Es sollten keine Ledger-Schlüssel sein, da sie das Ledger nicht verlassen. Welche Schlüssel werden also in Metamask gespeichert? Was passiert, wenn man sie verliert, ohne sie zu sichern?

The seed phrase stored in MM is only used for MM accounts, i e. accounts NOT derived from your ledger seed (ie account without the “ledger” grey mark).

If you only use ledger accounts, no need to backup your MM 12 word seed phrase. But if you accidentally use a MM account instead of a ledger account, it could be a good idea to keep a backup of the MM seed, just in case

As u/loupiote2 pointed out, the seed phrase related to MetaMask (when you first create a MetaMask account) is connected only to the accounts created by MetaMask as a hot wallet (without the Ledger device).

Importantly, if you create any accounts in MetaMask with your Ledger device as a hardware connected wallet, you’ll see a small “Ledger” title next to the account name ([here](https://www.ledger.com/academy/security/the-safest-way-to-use-metamask) is a great article detailing this process).

You’ll also know that these accounts are connected to your Ledger, because they’ll require you to manually confirm transactions with the physical Ledger device (which proves that the accounts are indeed connected to your Ledger device).

Do not do this! You compromise the ledger by doing this . The point of the ledger is to keep your seed offline and connecting it through metamask will put your seed online keep them separate. You should use your ledge to sign transactions only like it designed to do!
