Hallo alle, neu bei ledger.

Also, wenn ich meine Forschung auf, welche Wallet zu bekommen, las ich irgendwo, wenn Sie kaufen Ihre nano X von Amazon kommt es mit einer Art von Sicherheits-Band um ihn herum, so dass Sie wissen, dass es nicht im Lager usw. geöffnet worden, aber meine kam in nur eine grundlegende generische Wärme schrumpfen mit keine Sicherheit Tags aller Arten und eine generische Öffnung Box. Ich habe es noch nicht eingerichtet, weil ich weiß, wie einfach es ist, einen Artikel wieder einzuschrumpfen, also behalte ich es und füge ein weiteres Wort hinzu oder gebe es zurück und kaufe es bei Ledger Direct?

Just generate a new seed if u are worried instead of using the first one it displays, problem solved. Ledgers from the official store on Amazon are fine, I have 2 with no issues. Ledger puts no security band around them. You could even reset your ledger multiple times and use the third or 4th seed if that makes u happy. As long as u are doing a new device setup and aren’t using some pre printed seed u are fine.

I purchased my original S directly and got on a mailing list of people trying to scam me!

I bought both my X and my S Plus from the official Amazon store, no issues.

I also bought from ledger official Amazon and saw that it ships from rue du Mail, Paris, France, which is where ledger is located so I assumed it was legit.

You are fine buying it at Amazon. Just make sure it’s not been setup with a pre-printed seed and fake instructions. Then make sure it passes the genuine check from ledger live downloaded from ledger.com. That’s it! You are perfectly fine.

If you want some additional piece of mind:

Since you haven’t set it up, return it to Amazon. Since Amazon is currently selling it for $113, buy it at BestBuy with a price match. BestBuy offers 2 years of extended warranty for $30 (people’s reports of battery problems). For $143, you’ll have your Ledger Nano with a 2 years warranty that you can swap out at the store if there are any problems.
Just make sure to move any coins/tokens before swapping the defective device.
