      Hallo zusammen

      Danke!

Coinbase takes forever to transfer BTC. Just wait. Should be fine as long as the address matches the one that came off Ledger Live. (you can reuse addresses).

Thanks all for the reassurance…seems it was perhaps a synchro error in ledger live…balance is showing now. Thanks again

No. It’s not necessary to touch your ledger at all, as long as a soft wallet (ledger live, electrum, sparrow, blue wallet, etc) has your master public key and can generate the next receive address.

The confirmation is just a safety step that would detect if the address you send to is not derived from the seed currently in your ledger.

In most cases, this confirmation step will not detect any issue, therefore skipping it will not cause harm. But it is always safer to confirm that the address on the device display is the same as displayed by LL.

      No, you havent lost them.

Next time, you can go on https://www.blockchain.com/explorer and enter your BTC address, that you sent BTC to, in the search bar. Here, you can check to see if your transactions have registered. They appear pretty quickly after you send/receive. I do this, rather than check in ledger live.

Hi, Normally your coins are not gone, confirming the address on the device is more for security reasons, is for you to check the address displayed in the device and in Ledger Live.

This way, you can make sure nothing is wrong with your address. Even if you did not verify your address if nothing did go wrong you should still get your coins.

You can also try to clear the cache:

      1. Click on the gear icon to access the Settings.
      2. Click on the Help tab.
      3. Click the Clear button to clear the cache. This forces the resynchronization of your accounts with our blockchain explorers.

You will be fine, as some stated above, CEX withdraws are usually slow, and no, you don’t need to confirm the address you see on the screen to “validate” it, that address will be valid regardless. If you check your address again later on the ledger and see a different one, don’t freak out either, it changes every x time, but all assets sent to past addresses will be credited.

Is the confirmed address the same as the one you copied?
