1. Where did you buy the Ledger?
2. When did you buy the Ledger?
3. When you received the Ledger, was the packaging intact?
4. When you downloaded Ledger Live, where did you download it from?
5. When you plugged it into your computer, did you verify the Ledger with Ledger Live?
6. Before you started using it, did you create an new wallet or use the wallet that was already installed?
7. Do you live around crypto-savy people?
8. Did you write down your seed phrase and secure it away from sneaky people?
9. Have you recently joined Discord or Telegram? If you have did you talk to tech support on Discord or Telegram?
10. Did you store your seed phrase on your phone or computer?
11. Do you use Metamask? Are you using a Ledger hardware integrated account?
12. Do you use a VPN when you do crypto transactions?

Feel free to NOT answer these questions. Saying “No go fuck yourself!” is an essential part of crypto. There are sooooo maaaannny scammers out there and they are smart and tricky.

Did you download the app from our official website?

Generally speaking there are two ways crypto can be stolen when secured by a Ledger device, either a recovery phrase has been compromised or the Ledger device itself was used to approve the transaction. As it sounds like you had your device with you, it is more than likely that your recovery phrase has been compromised.

The Ledger Live app is just an interface, do you mean the Ledger device itself?

If people were able to hack the cryptography used in blockchain technology we would have MUCH bigger problems than a few crypto wallets, so that’s kind of unlikely.

Instead of spending your time talking to the FBI about funds that you’ll never see again or posting this nonsense here, you should learn about how you were compromised.

Can you show us the hacker’s address and yours? You may have approved malicious contracts. If not, you fell for a phishing attempt.

Ledger live only displays what is on your ledger, it has no way of giving out your recovery phrases since it’s secured on your device.
