Was ist Ihre bevorzugte Methode für die Verwendung von Ledger-Wallet? Von dem, was ich verstehe, ist es am sichersten, Ledger zu verwenden, um Vermögenswerte zu speichern/hodl und eine andere Wallet für Kauf/Verkauf?
Wäre es auch von Vorteil, zwei physische Ledger-Geräte zu haben und sie an verschiedenen Orten aufzubewahren, für den Fall, dass eines verloren geht/beschädigt wird? Bitte teilen Sie uns Ihre Gedanken mit.

Ledger Devices are good for hodling, hot wallets are good for small amounts, and playing around with crypto. As far as having multiple devices, remember that it’s the 24 Word Seed Phrase that is the key to your crypto. If you want you can actually have no devices and your crypto is still safe, all because of the Seed Phrase.

Yeah it is a good idea to use two different devices with two different BIP39 seeds. One device for long-term storage(hodl device), one device for everyday trading(transaction device). Keep in mind to use two different pins for the devices. Also mark one device or use two different color sets for the devices to be able to differentiate the two devices at all times. Also keep the devices separate from the physical backups of the seeds. If you use the same computer also keep in mind you probably need to use two custom folder paths, one for each device. Because in Ledger Live you only have one profile. The Ledger Live software always looks for the Ledger Live folder. Go to C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Roaming\Ledger Live

If you atm manage your hodl device with LL, rename that folder to ‘Ledger Live HODL’. Set up your transaction device, the LL software will create a new Ledger Live folder. After the setup you can rename that folder to ‘Ledger Live Transaction’. From now on if you use the hodl device you simply rename the ‘Ledger Live HODL’ folder to ‘Ledger Live’ in order to enable the software to find the profile. After you’re finished rename the folder. When you want to use your transaction device, you rename the ‘Ledger Live Transaction’ folder to ‘Ledger Live’. And so on.

An alternative would be to use just a simple hot wallet instead of the transaction device.

I use 2 Ledgers, mainly to split my long holdings and not have all of my eggs in one basket. I use hot wallets on the exchanges to hold short term and low value coins.

Keep a trading wallet completely seperate, by using a new recovery phrase for that wallet. A software wallet is less cumbersome.

That way, you will keep it seperated and signing a malicious contract or losing your recovery phrase doesn’t impact your core funds.
