Approving generated receive addresses is pretty much just to make sure you double check what you copy/paste matches what is shown on the device. There have been many instances of malware that inject an attacker’s address whenever you try to paste a BTC address so your coins get sent to them.
But as long as you know they matched and send to the right address, you’re fine. BTC is never stored _on_ the Ledger. It is always stored on the blockchain. Your Ledger only holds the keys to transfer the coins. Once you have a valid receive address there is nothing needed to be done on the Ledger, like approving anything, to receive coins. Sending is of course a different story.
