Are you using the same seed phrase in both ledgers?

If not, there is no way to “combine”, you’ll have to send all your cryptos that are on accounts derived from your Nano S seed phrase, to accounts derived from the Nano X seed phrase.

You’ll have to pay the transfer fees.

If you have no or very few accounts created with your Nano X, then it would be better (cheaper and faster) to go the other way, i.e. transfer those accounts that you created with the Nano X, to accounts derived from your Nano S seed phrase, then once the Nano X seed phrase does not have any account with a balance, you could enter your Nano S seed phrase in your Nano X. This way the nano X will give instant access to all your Nano S accounts. Of course, you should do that only if your Nano S need phrase is still 100% secure.

Note: just in case, never throw away your Nano X seed backup…. in case you forgot to transfer an account, it is vital to keep it.

Use your passphrase from your old wallet to restore to your new wallet. You will then be able to use either wallet. All transactions are synced on the blickchains so there should be no conflict.

Accounts are associated with the recovery phrase on the Ledger device when they are added to the Ledger Live portfolio. If the accounts were added using an old Ledger device and the Nano X was subsequently set up as a new device, then they operate with different recovery phrases. Since the recovery phrase is the **master key** to your accounts, you will not be able to transact with the existing accounts associated with the old device until you restore the old device’s recovery phrase on the Nano X. You can find a step-by-step guide on restoring recovery phrases on a Ledger device [here](https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/4404382560913-Restore-your-Ledger-accounts-with-your-recovery-phrase?support=true).

Another community member already mentioned this, but it’s a very important point. If you have created **any** accounts in your portfolio using the recovery phrase on the new device, make sure to keep that phrase because you will need it to interact with accounts associated with it.
