Yes it’s a standard. Not proprietary. Then again, if you are coming from ledger, assume the entire seed has been compromised until further clarification.

Yes, Ledger, Trezor, and Coldcard all use the same BIP39 standard, so they translate from one to the other with the following exceptions

1. Ledger supported LONGER bip39-passphrases than Trezor. So you need to ensure that your Ledger bip39-passphrase can fit into 50 bytes (depending on language encoding)
2. BIP39-passphrases are only applicable to coins that support BIP39. XMR (monero) is not BIP39 compliant, as such, each wallet uses unique math to derive XMR. Trezor’s math is published in the SLIP-10 specification.

Yes, but considering Ledger is closed source and you don’t know how the seed was generated or if it was exposed in some way it would be safer to create a new seed for your Trezor and move the funds over.

Its not a password its a passphrase and yes if ledger uses the bip39 Standard.

They are compatible. You already bought a new HW wallet, please don’t cheap out over some transfer fees.

Make a new seed and transfer over, the whole Ledger ecosystem is sus right now.
