      > Or because he has the seedphrases will he always be able to access it ?

Yes, he will always have access to the funds under that seed mnemonic, so long as that is the seed mnemonic used on your Trezor. Adding a >!~~seed phrase~~!< [passphrase] only changes accessibility of NEW funds added, not to existing funds already in the wallet

The only way is to create a new wallet and transfer the funds to it.
But why would you share the seedphrase? Specially to someone that looks like you don’t trust

Get a new seedphrase for your device.
You can reset the device itself from the suite and it will give you a new set of 24 words afterwards and a new standard wallet as well.

If there are funds from the wallet, you should transfer them to a hot wallet or a CEX and then get them back once you’re done with the reset.

Start a new wallet. Send the funds there. This time don’t share the damn seed phrase…

The seedphrase secures the **assets**, regardless of wallet client

The PIN secures only that wallet

apart from the other correct answers (you can’t “protect” a seed phrase once you gave it to someone), i would like to point something out:

      > Disclaimer there is zero funds in the wallet and probably won’t ever be.

So in other words, your friend has a seed phrase _to an empty wallet_.

Turns out, there are billions upon billions of those things. There is nothing that binds you to this seed phrase in particular. You can throw it away and then it’s not your seed phrase anymore, it’s your friend’s (if they choose to hold on to it).

Put differently, the situation is the same as if you and your friend made some sort of pact to use this particular seed phrase together. Because you never used it, and never put funds into it, there is no reason for you to uphold this pact. You can just break away and put your future money somewhere else.

Just add a passphrase to this Wallet. The passphrase will create a hidden Wallet so you can put some money there. Without the passphrase (even he had the mnemonic phrase), he can not access your new hidden wallet.
