Kann ledger meine Passphrase (die Wörter selbst) identifizieren oder nur den privaten Schlüssel, der durch meine Passphrase erzeugt wird?

Ich frage, weil ich wissen möchte, ob ich die gleiche Passphrase in anderen Geräten verwenden kann, oder ich sollte es auch ändern.

Hard to say. Honestly.
Ledger has said it’s only opt in.
But a lot of security concerned people think they probably have already preload all our seeds in preparation for when we subscribe to the service.
Basically we will never know as the company is close source.
So…. You trust them or you make a new seed phrase and move to a new open source hardware wallet.

The passphrase is just one word (or better: a string of characters). Do you mean the mnemonic or recovery phrase?

If you use the same passphrase in conjunction with another mnemonic phrase, you’ll end up with different addresses.

No, recover only knows your passphrase because the person would have sent it to them. If you don’t send anyone anything how would they know?

Ledger does not know your passphrase.

And it does not have your encrypted seed shards either, unless you signed up for the Recover service.

If you did sign up, ledger still only have access to one encrypted shard of your seed, so they don’t actually have access to your seed (two shards are needed to have access).
