Hallo zusammen
Ich wollte mal fragen, was diese “Ledger-Apps” sind.
Ich habe gehört, dass sie die Daten meines Privet-Schlüssels liefern.
Warum sind sie erforderlich?
Dürfen sie irgendwelche privaten Informationen über meine Wallet verschmähen?
Und kann ich einen “Anwendungs”-Privet-Key ändern oder einen anderen hinzufügen?

ledger apps are the apps that you install on your ledger to support each type of blockchain. All ledger apps are open source, and none of them will export / leak your private keys out of the ledger (if they did, it would be a critical bug!).

All the private keys are calculated from (we say “derived from”) your 24-word recovery seed phrase, using a mathematical formula called “bip32 derivation path”.

If you change your seed phrase, all your private keys will change, so it also means that all your public keys and account addresses will change.

Apps need your private key to sign transactions and all happens inside the secure chip. If you don’t want the apps access your key, you can’t sign transactions.

There are some wallets that has no way to expose it’s keys, but then you cannot see your seed either. If your wallet gets broken or lost, say goodbye to your device.

If you want to use other private keys tied to another seed, you can use passphrase method, adding 25th word. This will make your addresses generated by a different seed on same device. Different seeds are activated by different pin locks.
