I personally, audited the code path. The calling program (Suite) has the TXN data to be signed and passes it to the Trezor. The only thing the Trezor returns is the signature. If corruption happens in that path the signature would show as invalid and be rejected by the mempool.
Also the firmware is encrypted. If it rots at rest the firmware decryption would fail.
If left at rest for 50 or 100 years I would fully expect to see some failure at power up. Hence, keep your seed mnemonic and passphrase safe.
If you are doing disaster recovery planning. Trezor keeps an emulator up to date. If you trezor dies you can break your seed by loading it into the software emulator and still access all your coins.

Hardware wallets are not data storage devices. You’re supposed to store your data (seed words) separately (and offline). The ecosystem is designed to operate even if you lose your hardware wallet or it gets vaporized into atoms. They are interchangeable, you buy another and restore it manually.
If you’re relying on the hardware wallet as your only copy of the seed/private keys, you’ve already lost before you even began. You’re doing it all wrong. Bitrot is the least of your worries in that case, because you’re going to possibly lose your money anytime the wallet gets reset, damaged, possibly if updated etc.
