Hallo! Ich habe ein neues Ledger von [Takealot.com](https://Takealot.com) in Kapstadt (SA’s Amazon), Südafrika. Ich arbeite bei Crypto Banter und wir haben viele von Takealot gekauft, jeder hat nicht vor besorgt gewesen, aber ich bin vorsichtig…

Aber wenn ich mir die Box ansehe, nachdem sie geöffnet wurde, sehe ich Staub in der Box, ein paar winzig kleine Haare/Fussel… auch das Gerät hat den Plastikaufkleber auf usw. Büste kann ich winzige Staubstücke darauf reiben… der silberne Teil des Geräts hat auch kleine Schrammen/Flecken auf… Alles ist super geringfügig, aber ich nehme an, wenn dies eine legit Ledger und seine aus einer Fabrik, sicherlich sollte es perfekt sauber sein, wie wenn Sie ein iPhone von Apple bekommen.. bin ich richtig?

Wenn die Box geöffnet wurde, bevor wie könnte es gehackt oder kompromittiert werden? die Jungs bei der Arbeit sagen, es spielt keine Rolle, weil das Gerät nur die 12-Wort-Phrase generiert, wenn Sie es erstellen. aber mein ein Freund sagt, es könnte von einem Hacker etc. gechipt worden sein.

Irgendwelche Gedanken, Leute? Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob ich es zurückgeben sollte.

For me set up a new 24 words , and then reset the ledger again for the new 24 words

As long as ledger live says it’s authentic and you generate a new seed, all is good.

Just make a wallet delete the nano than make a new wallet with new seed phrase

Actually it creates a random 24-word phrase, not 12-word.

When you connect your ledger to ledger live, the program will check that the device and firmware are genuine. So I would not worry.

99.9999% of the people who get scammed are not victim of a tampered ledger, but victim of themselves (when they leak their own seed/recovery phrase, due to ignorance or carelessness. (or both).
