Vor kurzem habe ich einen Trezor One gekauft, um eine bessere Sicherheit auf Metamask zu haben. Ich habe gelesen, dass, um nützlich zu sein es braucht, um eine frische neue Metamask haben, da die alten nicht funktionieren.

Warum ist das so? Wenn ich den Trezor mit Metamask verbinde, wird eine neue Wallet erstellt.

Wenn mein Seed von Metamask kompromittiert ist, wäre dann auch die von Trezor erzeugte Wallet kompromittiert? Danke

Hi, it is impossible to secure your already existing Metamask-created wallet with Trezor. If you connect your Trezor to Metamask ([https://trezor.io/learn/a/metamask-and-trezor](https://trezor.io/learn/a/metamask-and-trezor)), a new, Trezor-created wallet will appear in your Metamask app. This wallet is separate from your default Metamask-created wallet.

If you wish to transfer your coins from your original Metamask-created wallet to this Trezor one, you have to transfer them via regular transaction, hence to pay the transaction fee.

Metamask always creates a Standard wallet with seed, this wallet is a hot wallet and isn’t safe.

You can connect your trezor to mm, at this point metamask uses your trezor eth Account, this wallet is safe.

And you cant secure a old hot mm wallet.

So all your funds must be moved to your trezor to be safe.

If your MetaMask hot wallet seed gets compromised your Trezor is still safe, they’re separate as Kaaca mentioned.

So if you were to import your hot wallet into a new browser, your Trezor wallet wouldn’t be there, you would have to reconnect it again.
