Ich warte darauf, dass mein Ledger ankommt und habe eine Frage zum Pairing des Ledgers mit einer Drittanbieter-Wallet. Mit meiner Soft-Wallet habe ich einen 24-Wort-Hauptschlüssel und wenn ich mein Ledger einrichte, mache ich auch einen 24-Wort-Hauptschlüssel. Jetzt bin ich verwirrt, wenn die Paarung, die Menge der Schlüssel verwendet werden?

Keep your Ledger 24 word seed phrase separate. Never enter it into a digital device. Keep your wallets separate and dont import your soft wallet, just send the assets to the wallet on the Ledger or if it a soft wallet like Metamask, integrate your Ledger device into the wallet, so it will prompt you for approval for any withdrawals

I would not call it “pairing”. I call it “connect ledger to a front-end” (like MetaMask etc).

When you do that, the front end will not use its internal seed, instead it will use the seed of your ledger, so it will give you access to your ledger accounts, and each transaction from those accounts will have to be approved on your ledger device (because they will be signed by your ledger device).

This is 100% safe, as long as you NEVER enter your ledger seed phrase in another front-end (you should ALWAYS connect the front-end to the ledger, that’s the only save way).

When you connect a third party wallet like Metamask to your Ledger device, it’s using the Ledger’s seed for those accounts. But you should never enter that seed into the software, all the transactions are verified on the device itself.
