Soweit ich weiß, gibt es zwei potenzielle Angriffsvektoren für den Trezor one.

1. Physikalisches Aufbrechen des Trezor: Ich mache mir keine Sorgen, dass jemand in mein Haus einbricht und sein Hacker-Toolkit herausholt. Ich kann meinen Trezor auch auf die Werkseinstellungen zurücksetzen, um dies zu verhindern, da ich das Gerät in meinem Besitz habe.

2. Der Trezor bringt ein kompromittiertes Update heraus: Satoshi Labs ist irgendwie kompromittiert und schleust Code ein, um deinen Seed zu stehlen, obwohl er Open Source ist.

Meine Frage ist, ob man den Trezor aktualisieren muss, um die Suite zum Senden und Empfangen von Kryptowährungen zu verwenden? Kann man es deaktivieren?

1. Not sure what you are asking if you are not worried about someone having physical access to your Trezor. But PIN and passphrase and mitigations against someone physically accessing the Trezor.
2. The community can verify the firmware update that is shipped matches the code that is online via reproducible builds.

Both of these are discussed often on this sub reddit.

You will always be asked before an update and you can refuse it.

However, sometimes updates are necessary to continue with the new version of the trezor suite. Sometimes they contain the support for a new hard fork of your coin, in which case it’s necessary for that coin.

And sometimes they are highly recommended as the old firmware contains a security critical bug.
