Ich habe einen Ledger Nano X, aber ich zögere, die Firmware auf Version 2.0.2 zu aktualisieren, weil es Berichte über Leute gibt, die ihr Gerät zerstört haben. Sollte ich oder sollte ich nicht? Was ist in der neuen Firmware-Version überhaupt enthalten?

Auch wenn mein Gerät gebrickelt wird, kann ich den Seed für eine andere BIP-32-kompatible Wallet verwenden?

Hat die Firmware-Version des Ledger irgendeine Auswirkung auf den Wallet-Seed oder ändert sie nichts? (d.h. wenn ich meinen Wallet-Seed in einen Ledger mit einer älteren Firmware-Version importiere, wird sich nichts ändern? und umgekehrt).

I keep mine updated and don’t worry. All the customers who use the product without issue don’t say anything. People come here to say something when something goes wrong.

But you are correct that The Ledger seed phrase can be entered into any ledger device. When you turn it on it will ask you if you are setting up a new wallet or restoring an old one. Just enter the seed phrase and install the wallets you want.

Yes, you need to keep the firmware updated because certain coin apps will only have updates available to install if you have the latest firmware. Out of date apps can result in errors when you try to send.

If the device were to somehow brick during the process, Ledger should replace it under warranty for you. And yes the seed phrase would work in another Ledger or many other competing hardware or software wallets.

It can indeed happen that your Ledger device resets itself during a firmware update. However, you can rest reassured if you have access to your seed phrase. If your Ledger device resets itself you just need to set it up again with your Seed phrase.
