Trezor One Schwarzer Bildschirm – kein Saatgut

Bevor ich anfange, möchte ich sagen, dass es eine Reihe von wirklich wilden und absurden Ereignissen gab, die dazu geführt haben, dass ich mein Saatgut nicht mehr habe.

Doch nun zum eigentlichen Problem. Mein Trezor One wird immer noch von meinem Computer (Mac) über ein Micro-USB-auf-USB-C-Kabel erkannt. Der Bildschirm ist jedoch komplett schwarz.

Ich habe es mit verschiedenen Kabeln, verschiedenen Anschlüssen und verschiedenen Computern versucht. Ich habe es in einen stockdunklen Raum mitgenommen und es ist nicht so, dass der Bildschirm zu dunkel ist. Es ist so, als gäbe es überhaupt keine Hintergrundbeleuchtung mehr.

Da mein Computer das Gerät noch erkennt, denke ich, dass ich den Bildschirm austauschen sollte. Ich kann jedoch keine Anleitungen finden, wie man das macht. Ich habe die Teile für den Bildschirm gefunden und sie bestellt. Aber ich zögere, das Gehäuse aufzubrechen, ohne wirklich zu wissen, worauf ich mich einlasse.

Zum Beispiel: muss der Bildschirm eingelötet werden oder wie funktioniert der Austauschmechanismus? Wie lange könnte das dauern und welche Fähigkeiten sind dafür erforderlich? Und schließlich, wenn ich jemanden mit diesen Fähigkeiten finden muss, was sollte ich dann fragen?

Ich hoffe wirklich, dass die Community mir hier weiterhelfen kann. Wenn nicht, ist es nur die Art und Weise es ist, aber dachte, es ist einen Versuch wert.

If it’s a significant amount of money, get yourself another identical Trezor to test your DIY skills first.
Then use it as a backup if it works.

If I were in your situation, I would find someone skilled in this area to replace the screen and not DIY.

Either TrezorCTL, Bridge, or emulator can be run in MASSIVELY-DEBUG mode. I turned it on at one point. Anyway it tells you basically what screen interaction it is engaged in. Stuff like:

confirm_txm_button_press
wait_on_button_press

So maybe look at amping up verbosity in the whole stack to see if you can determine what the prmopts are without the display. If it turns out to be just an artifact of the emulator, just run the same workflow on the emulator and record what buttons you have to press and when.

Shit ton of work, but easier than replacing an OLED screen on a device who’s case is welded shut.

Compute engineer here. The screen connects to the board through tiny pins. Soldering them to the board would be difficult without the proper soldering equipment (soldering iron, flux, magnifying glass, etc). DIY is not an option if you have no experience in soldering. Unfortunately I would suggest purchasing a different one at this point.
