Verlorene BTC-gesendet zu BCH-weg?

Vor 6 Jahren schickte ich BTC zu BCH auf Ledger. Mt erste und einzige Krypto Fehler. Ich war in der Lage, es mit Electrum/Ableitungswege wiederherzustellen.

Ein Freund von mir hat gerade das gleiche getan, aber die BTC wurde von einem Ledger zu einer BCH-Adresse auf Trade Station gesendet.

Ich nehme an, da sie nicht die privaten Schlüssel zu diesem BCH haben, ist es für immer weg? Trade Station meldet sich nicht mehr bei ihnen.
