Bitte klärt das für mich auf.

Nehmen wir Phantom als Beispiel für eine heiße Geldbörse. Angenommen, Sie erstellen eine Phantom-Wallet. Sie haben Wallet 1, dann erstellen Sie eine Ledger-Wallet und verbinden diese mit Ihrem Ledger.

WENN Sie die Passphrase für die Phantom-Wallet gespeichert haben, und sei es nur auf einem Stück Papier, und jemand diese Passphrase findet, ist Ihre **Ledger-Phantom-Wallet** dann angreifbar? ODER bräuchte jemand immer noch Zugriff auf das externe Ledger-Gerät, um etwas aus der Ledger Phantom Wallet zu übertragen? In diesem Beispiel ist die Passphrase für die Ledger-Wallet selbst sicher und niemand hat sie.

If you import the seed from a hot wallet to the ledger, you do not gain any security. If the seed is leaked, all is gone. The hardware wallet does not change that.

There’s a stupid how to video on YouTube lots of people are referring to unfortunately where someone imports the MetaMask seed into the ledger and people think this helps…

I guess you mean connecting your Ledger to Phantom. So you will have two seed phrases. If the seed phrase for Phantom is leaked they will have access to it, don’t need the Ledger. Everything on the Ledger is absolutely safe.

just ask yourself “where is the secret stored?”. your hardware wallet is the only place to load your secret (never enter it into anything other than your hardware wallet), and the hardware wallet keeps it safe, no matter how many software wallets you connect your ledger too.

unfortunately everything is called a wallet, so phantom wallet connects to hardware wallet to access the funds in your on-chain wallet.

if you only ever enter your seed into your hardware wallet, and no where else, its safe no matter what you connect your hardware wallet too.

Hi, If you connect your Ledger to Phantom as explained [here](https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/4408131265169-Set-up-and-use-Phantom-to-access-your-Ledger-Solana-SOL-account?docs=true) you will have an account linked to your Ledger and protected by the 24 words which will only be accessible if someone has access to your 24 words.

If someone finds the passphrase of Phantom, only Wallet 1 which is linked to the Phantom wallet will be vulnerable, and not the Ledger account in Phantom Wallet.

A lot of crypto wallets you can use with ledger will require you to create a hot wallet first – keep the seed and use it or not. Then you create the ledger protected second wallet. This ledger wallet is using the ledger seed only. They do not cross over. So if the wallet you are using gets hacked or someone has the hot seed you are fine. They will not have access to the ledger protected wallet.

These are two completely separate wallets that don’t talk to each other. First you have your phantom hot wallet with the new seed phrase. Then you have your ledger seed phrase. Your phantom wallet never needs to be used. So the words don’t matter. The only thing that matters is your ledger seed phrase. Obviously you should never enter your ledger seed phrase into phantom wallet.

Every time you send using phantom you will require your ledger. Your funds will be safe as long as you don’t give up your ledger phrase.
