Jemand hat meinen Ledger in einem Hotel gestohlen. Ich habe ein neues gekauft. Ich frage mich, ob ich die Wallets meines bestehenden Ledgers weiter verwenden sollte, indem ich ihn portiere, oder ob ich neue Wallets erstellen und die Vermögenswerte rüberschieben sollte. Mir ist klar, dass es höchst unwahrscheinlich ist, dass ein Dieb auf die Vermögenswerte aus meinem gestohlenen Ledger zugreifen kann, da das Gerät nach drei fehlgeschlagenen Anmeldeversuchen zurückgesetzt wird. Wenn dem so ist, neige ich dazu, nur meine bestehenden Wallets zu verwenden. Ich würde mich über jeden Gedanken aus der Community freuen.

This is a very good question. Technically, as long as the thief has no idea what your PIN code is, your funds should be safe, however if in the case your PIN is something simple, or perhaps a popular numeric sequence (examples like 1111, 12345, 9876, etc.), your funds could be at risk (only in the scenario that the thief guesses this correctly within 3 PIN attempts).
If you’re looking for absolute reassurance, without a doubt, you can send all of your funds to another temporary wallet, and then reset your Ledger device, generate a new 24 word recovery phrase, and then send the funds back to your new, fresh Ledger device.

If the thief puts in 3 wrong pins, the device will reset. BUT, you never know. Maybe the thief saw you put in your pin or guesses right (by some miracle), so better to get a new set of accounts and transfer everything over. But, to transfer you’d need 2 Ledgers (the From and the TO) – so you could transfer to eg. Trust Wallet (or an exchange), and then create your new accounts and send back to the new accounts.

Being honest, Its almost impossible to get the funds stolen, the Device wipes itself after a few wrong passwords. So chances are almost 0… Even MORE if you had a Passphrase.
NOW, Creating a new wallet is simple and free… If this matter will take your peace, Ill just create a new and transfer everything. -
