Hallo zusammen,

ich habe meinen neuen Trezor Safe 3 eingerichtet, aber ich habe vergessen, eine zusätzliche Passphrase für zusätzliche Sicherheit hinzuzufügen. Ich liebe die Idee, mehrere geheime Geldbörsen für den Fall, dass meine physische Kopie Seed Phrase kompromittiert wird.

Ich habe meine Kryptowährung bereits an meine neue Standard-Wallet auf meinem Trezor gesendet. Könnte mir bitte jemand erklären, wie ich eine neue geheime Wallet auf meinem Safe 3 erstellen kann?

Ich nehme an, dass ich dann meine Guthaben auf das neue geheime Wallet übertragen und die Gebühren tragen muss?

Edit: nur um das klarzustellen, ich möchte keine komplett neue Seed Phrase, ich möchte nur eine zusätzliche Passphrase zu meiner aktuellen hinzufügen. Außerdem: Wie viele zusätzliche Wörter werden empfohlen? Ich hatte vor, ein einziges zusätzliches Wort hinzuzufügen

you are misunderstanding the passphrase concept. Imagine each wallet in the blockchain is a hotel in this world. the seed-phrase is the instruction to a hotel, each time you open trezor suite & connect your trezor safe3, after the PIN verification, safe3 (with seed-phrase inside) knows it’s you and it takes you to your hotel. Now trezor suite asks you: do you want to stay in specific room, or default room?

if you don’t specific any passphrase, then you (your money) will land into the default “room” (the first room of the hotel)

if you specific any seedphrase, trezor will takes you to the specific room (corresponding to passphrase you provide).

So, if you want to move your money from default wallet to passphrase wallet, you should:

1. open trezor suite > connect safe3 > type your passphrase when trezor suite asks > write down your passphrase wallet address
2. on your opening Trezor suite, switch to you default wallet > move your money to the address you got from above step (transfer a small amount first for testing)
3. done

the secret ‘hidden’ wallets are created on demand, they are kind of new each time you enter the passphrase. The device has no memory of you being in the hidden wallet in the past.

So when you load trezor suite, just type in the passphrase you want (but if you subsequently send funds to that wallet with that passphrase, never forget the passphrase, else all funds are GONE)

Once in the hidden wallet make a copy of an address you want to send funds to, then disconnect the trezor and reconnect with no passphrase and send over the funds.

Just be careful to NEVER forget the passphrase. You have been warned.

And of course you can have many hidden wallets, but more wallets = more passphrases to remember.

The more words the better, but do what you feel comfortable the most. As someone said to use 6 words and spaces in between. It would take anyone billions years to guess.

Go into settings> turn on passcode> that should prompt the setup of your 13th seed.

Your initial seeds shouldn’t be easily compromised if found, so many ways to be creative like not having a sheet that says “Trezor 3 recovery phrase” but use colors, crossword puzzles with a key, endless ways to make it very hard for someone holding your stuff.

Caution – never forget or lose your Passphrase, if you do then the funds in your hidden wallet are gone forever, even your original 12/24 Seed Words cannot recover them.
