Ich möchte opensea verwenden und habe versucht, es mit Firefox zu benutzen. Es lässt mich die Transaktion unterschreiben, aber sie erscheint nicht im th4 Ledger. Ich denke also, ich muss Chrome verwenden. Wenn ich zu Chrom gehe, muss ich ein neues Konto erstellen oder die alte 24-Wörter-Passphrase eingeben. Wie kann ich mein altes ETH-Metamask-Konto wieder aufrufen? Was wird passieren, wenn ich ein neues Metamask-Konto erstelle?

Hi – the latest Firefox version has broken Metamask compatibility with Ledger. So for now it is recommended to use Metamask with Ledger on Chrome on Brave browser.

You simply need to create a new Metamask wallet on Chrome and then simply connect your Ledger to Metamask via the ‘Connect Wallet’ button. Please do not enter your Ledger seed phrase into Metamask to import it. Let us know if you have any other questions.

* create new account in metamask (don’t even bother writing the 12 or 24 word it gives you this new account is necessary but you won’t actually use it.

* once you have created the account you will be able to click “import hardware wallet”

* select your ledger

* Tada you can now use your ledger with metamask without the seed leaving the ledger.

Firefox is currently having issues to connect to Ledger, use Chrome instead. When you fresh install metamask, it forces you to create/import an account. Just create a dummy account, you don’t need to backup it’s seed. Then import your Ledger device’s accounts via “Connect Hardware Wallet” button and you are good to go.

Never enter your Ledger seed anywhere. NEVER.

When connecting to metamask (eith “connect hardware wallet”), srlect the derivation path “legacy / MEW”, and you will see your old ETH account.

Note: do NOT enter your ledger seed phrase in MM!!!
