If you have the seed phrase which is a series of short words in numbered order then you can reset the device and recover or used a new hardware wallet. It is however possible you don’t have the seed or he has a copy and could/has moved the funds which you can see if you recover and see the transaction via the appropriate block explorer. If the coins are intact you should seriously consider a new wallet with a new seed. (do this once you’re confident sending funds) Do not show the seed to the internet under any circumstance!

The Ledger subreddit is continuously targeted by scammers. Ledger Support will never send you private messages. Never share your 24-word recovery phrase with anyone, never enter it on any
website or software, even if it looks like it’s from Ledger. Only keep the recovery phrase as a physical paper or metal backup, never create a digital copy in text or photo form. Learn more atBE CAREFUL – phishing attacks in progress

Not sure what the login that you’re referring to is but if you have the Ledger device, all you need to know is the PIN number.
If you are unsure about what you are doing, get someone trusted to help you (not from the Internet). You will need to install a wallet like Ledger Live to view and withdraw your funds. Be careful about where you download the software from and don’t click on ad-sponsored links at the top of Google results.

Yes, the ledger contains only the keys. They are in the form of a list of 24 words, that should have been written on a card by you or bf when the ledger was set up.
The ledger also has a PIN code ( for old ledger it is 4 digits) that are needed to unlock the ledger.
As long as you have either the PIN code or the 24 words, your funds are recoverable, but it is more important to have the recovery seed phrase, as it can be entered in a new ledger if needed.
If the seed phrase was lost, recovery is possible if you still have the PIN code that can unlock the ledger when you plug it in a usb, but it is more complicated.
Dont answer any DM and dont share your seed phrase with anyone, as this is the key to your crypto accounts.
Note that the ledger will reset and erase its keys if you enter an incorrect PIN 3 times. If you dont have the 24 words and if your ledger resets, the cryptos are forever inaccessible ie lost.

If you have the seedphrase you are good!
Take some time to learn how this works. Go to ledgers official homepage, click on learn and read everything you can.
You have several options, but I woould figure out how to: download the ledge app, whipe the device and update it, Import the wallet with the seedphrase, setup a new device and send everything you find to your New wallet.Good luck, you can ask in r/ledger too.
Bot dont answer DMs and never share the seedphrase, nobody can help you if this gets compromised! stay safe -

I understand you have the seed phrase. With this, you have all you need to access all of your crypto (assuming it is the right one).
Given this, it’s easy to imagine how sensitive your seed phrase is, and how important it is to keep it safe from any prying eyes. Not just physical eyes, but digital ones as well – think programs that log your keys, websites or programs that trick you into entering your seed phrase and sending it to them.
If you have someone savvy who you would absolutely trust with the money, approach them. I would say, you should still keep the seed phrase private. Just to avoid any potential misunderstanding.
Otherwise, there are plenty of official resources to help you. You might want to start with ledger’s official website.
The most important thing is to always second guess yourself, make sure you’re absolutely convinced that the program you are entering your seed phrase on is secure. If you are using a ledger, you got this covered. The seed phrase needs to be keyed into the ledger device itself, using only the two buttons on the ledger. Do not key your seed phrase anywhere else. Do not take a picture of it. Do not type it out on your laptop or phone.
All the best.

The 24 words are the only thing that matters. It is how you program the hardware wallet to open the storage locker with your stuff in it out on the Blockchain. Do not type it in a keyboard, store it digitally or share it with anyone else for any reason. Those words should only be inserted into a secure hardware wallet device to restore access to your assets.
You can either ask him for the pin to the device (you don’t need login info as there is no email/password combo or just reset the device and import those words into it yourself.
Make sure to get a legit version of ledger live from the official website, not the Microsoft store or a sponsored link as they are scams that try to get your seed phrase.
