I know, that I don't have any of this plastic crap, which can often be found on Amazon, will use, but at the other end… one by Chubb or Doettling is currently far more than the value of my crypto holdings 🙂

Used safes are cheap, or at least they should be. They’re a hassle to move and people generally just want to get rid of them. [Real safes have a UL ratings of tl-15, tl-30, tltr-30 etc.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Safe#Class_125) The UL rating is usually on a metal badge riveted to the inside of the safe door. Safes that are rated as RSC (residential security container) or lower really [don’t offer much security at all](https://youtu.be/nBhOjWHbD6M?t=137).
